About the Company?
Our client is a Biomedical engineering company. They are looking for a Finance Manager to support the daily operations of the Finance department. In this role, you'll review the work completed by the accounting team and be responsible for preparing key deliverables, including financial statements, management reports, and tax filings. You will also lead the annual financial statement audit by compiling working papers, creating supporting schedules, and coordinating responses to auditor inquiries.

About the Opportunity?
Compliance & Tax Support
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Liaise with tax advisors on sales/use tax, R&D credits, and other relevant filings.
Internal Controls & Compliance
-
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Coordinate audits with external auditors and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
-
Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets and rolling forecasts.

Provide financial insights to management on trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost optimization.
ERP System & Process Improvement
-
Maintain and optimize the accounting module of the company’s ERP system (NetSuite).

Lead or participate in system implementations or upgrades as needed.

Identify and drive process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Cross-functional Collaboration
-
Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales teams to support business objectives.

Provide financial guidance for CAPEX projects, product costing, and pricing strategies.
Cost Accounting & Inventory Control
-
Manage cost accounting processes related to manufacturing, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and BOM reviews.

Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, scrap, obsolescence, and work-in-progress (WIP).

Collaborate with operations to improve cost control and inventory accuracy.
About You?
-
CPA designation.
-
Experience building relationships and being receptive to feedback.
-
Audit Firm experience a strong asset.
-
Full cycle accounting experience and financial reporting experience.

Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
-
Have entrepreneurial spirit and worked with founders / president.

Manufacturing and/or life science industry experience preferred, tech-enabled business background ideal.

Experience delivering presentations to senior executives.
Salary Range?
$110,000 - $130,000/year?
