The Equipment Salesperson will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our range of equipment to businesses across various industries. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering value to clients. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify potential clients through research, networking, cold calling, and referrals to build a robust sales pipeline. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored equipment solutions. 
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct on-site or virtual demonstrations of equipment, highlighting features, benefits, and value to meet client requirements. 
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing: Prepare and present quotes, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets. 
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to position our equipment effectively. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, technical support, and service teams to ensure client satisfaction and seamless delivery. 
  • Reporting: Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics using CRM software. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 
  • All employees must foster and inspire the “team” environment. 
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in equipment, industrial, or technical product sales. Working knowledge of major building systems, design and operation. Ability to read and interpret facility blueprints. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access). 
  • Knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting preferred. 

Skills: 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close sales deals. 
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset. A self-starter, willing to seek solutions and additional training on their own as needed. 
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office. 
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain equipment specifications. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Knowledge of specific equipment types (e.g., construction, manufacturing, or agricultural equipment). 
  • Established network of industry contacts. 
  • Experience with consultative selling techniques

Other Requirements: 
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required (up to 25% travel).
