JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Platform Engineering Lead for a Direct-Hire opportunity located in Plano, TX 75074 (onsite 4-days per week M-TH). The Platform Engineering Lead will spearhead the transformation of the SDLC by establishing scalable, cloud-native platforms and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. The Platform Engineering Lead will act as a hands-on leader with deep expertise in test automation, modern DevOps practices, and cross-functional team leadership. The Platform Engineering Lead candidate will build and mentor a high-performing offshore team to support global operations while driving platform standardization, quality, and compliance across initiatives.

About the Project: The overall goal of the Platform Engineering Lead is to set up comprehensive regression testing for all applications and institute best practices around functional and non-functional testing. The Platform Engineering Lead will be joining a greenfield environment, where automation testing does not exist yet and where manual testing is being utilized sparsely, at best. The career growth for this role is a direct path to owning and running the entire platform for the entire organization. The ideal Platform Engineering Lead will come from a strong background in Quality Assurance with an emphasis on Automation and Reliability. A significant part of this role will involve designing and implementing automated testing and deployment frameworks, where no testing frameworks currently exist. Additionally, experience within AI-Driven Tools is strongly preferred as they are moving in the direction of improving testing efficiency, code quality, and incident response.
