Job Title: Director of Treasury & Tax
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite in NYC
Compensation: $200,000–$250,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Overview:
We are currently partnering with a leading organization to identify a Director of Treasury & Tax to join their executive finance team. This permanent position is ideal for a seasoned finance leader with deep expertise in treasury operations and tax strategy, particularly within complex or multinational environments. The role offers the opportunity to shape financial policy, optimize capital structure, and support high-impact strategic initiatives.

This is a hybrid role based in New York City, with three days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury Management:

  • Lead the development of liquidity strategies and ensure optimal use of cash resources

  • Manage daily cash flow, forecasting, and funding for operational and strategic needs

  • Oversee relationships with banks and financial institutions, including debt arrangements and investment portfolios

  • Identify and manage exposure to foreign exchange, interest rate, and market risks

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with treasury policies and procedures

Tax Strategy & Compliance:

  • Oversee all aspects of tax planning and compliance, including corporate, indirect, and international taxes

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns across jurisdictions

  • Develop tax strategies that align with business goals and optimize after-tax results

  • Manage audits, respond to inquiries from tax authorities, and lead relationships with external advisors

  • Monitor evolving tax laws and assess their potential impact on the business

Strategic & Executive Support:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on capital structure, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring initiatives

  • Provide financial insight to guide high-level decision-making and risk assessment

  • Prepare treasury and tax reports for the CFO and executive leadership

  • Contribute to company-wide financial planning and policy development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or Master’s degree preferred

  • 10 years of progressive experience in treasury and tax functions, including at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Strong command of both U.S. and international tax regulations and financial instruments

  • Proven track record in cash flow forecasting, capital markets, and financial risk management

  • Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and treasury/tax technologies

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience within a publicly traded or multinational corporation

  • Familiarity with M&A tax structuring and global transfer pricing practices

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership capabilities
