Accounting
  • Prepare and post journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensure accurate coding, and timely payment of invoices.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform salary and hourly payroll processing.

Financial Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the preparation of high-level and detailed financial reporting, analysis, and modeling for presentation to Funders, COO, CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.

Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Expensify)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
