Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead and stabilize the company’s accounting operations during a critical growth phase. This role is a 6-month engagement with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical accounting knowledge, and experience in scaling finance operations within a fast-paced, global software company.
You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the VP of Recruiting and other executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the full-cycle accounting function, overseeing a team of 6 (including new and tenured team members)

Manage all accounting operations including GL, revenue recognition, payroll, accounts payable/receivable

Drive improvements in processes and controls to support growth and scalability

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities

Partner with external auditors and prepare for financial audits

Ensure compliance with US GAAP and evolving reporting requirements

Support transformation of revenue model from on-prem to cloud

Contribute to IPO-readiness activities and strategic finance initiatives

Work cross-functionally across global teams to support international accounting needs
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Controller or Interim Controller, ideally in a high-growth software or tech company

Strong background in full-cycle accounting and finance operations

Experience managing and mentoring accounting teams

International accounting and audit experience

Revenue recognition and private company audit readiness

Expertise in NetSuite strongly preferred; open to candidates with experience in other major ERP systems

Experience supporting companies through IPO preparation or similar scale events

Ability to thrive in a hybrid, fast-paced, and evolving environment
