Role: Tax and Treasury Director
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000/annually
Location: New York City (Hybrid – 3x week in office)
About the role: Seeking a seasoned Tax and Treasury Director to guide the organization’s treasury and tax operations. This individual will be instrumental in shaping financial strategies related to liquidity, capital allocation, and regulatory compliance. The role is central to managing financial exposure, optimizing fiscal efficiency, and supporting long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute policies to enhance cash utilization, manage financial partnerships, and streamline capital deployment.
- Direct forecasting efforts to ensure sufficient cash availability for daily and strategic needs.
- Supervise relationships with financial institutions, oversee borrowing strategies, and manage surplus funds.
- Administer risk mitigation strategies for currency fluctuations, interest rate exposure, and other financial variables.
- Uphold internal governance standards and ensure adherence to treasury protocols.
- Lead the organization’s approach to tax compliance across all jurisdictions and tax categories.
- Guarantee timely and accurate submission of all required tax documentation at the local, national, and international levels.
- Craft and implement tax strategies that align with corporate goals and enhance financial outcomes.
- Manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities, and coordinate with external consultants as needed.
- Stay informed on evolving tax legislation and assess its implications for the business.
- Partner with executive teams on initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and enterprise risk management.
- Deliver regular updates and strategic reports to senior finance leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced credentials (CPA, CFA, or Master’s) are advantageous.
- 10 years of experience in treasury and tax functions, including five years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Deep understanding of global tax frameworks and financial risk instruments.
- Demonstrated expertise in liquidity planning, market financing, and risk analysis.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and reporting platforms.
- Strong leadership presence with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Background in multinational or publicly listed enterprises.
- Knowledge of international tax structuring and intercompany pricing methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects.
