FIRM OVERVIEW
Our firm is a premier international law practice serving Fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, and government entities worldwide. With legal professionals operating from over 45 strategic locations globally, we deliver comprehensive legal services and handle complex cross-border matters at the highest market levels. Our diverse, collaborative team represents over 90 nationalities and speaks more than 80 languages.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator for a unique, analytically-driven role that goes far beyond traditional accounts payable functions. This position requires a self-motivated professional who thrives in an unstructured environment where every day brings new challenges and no two days are alike. The successful candidate will work directly with firm partners and senior leadership, requiring exceptional analytical skills to identify and resolve complex account discrepancies.
This role became available due to an internal promotion and represents an excellent opportunity for career growth within our organization. The ideal candidate will bring 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the legal industry, and possess advanced Excel proficiency essential for success in this analytical position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze complex financial data to identify and resolve problematic accounts and discrepancies
  • Work independently in a dynamic environment with varied daily responsibilities and priorities
  • Collaborate directly with firm partners and senior management on financial matters
  • Process and record firm and client expenditures with precision and timeliness
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to inquiries from international offices and vendor partners
  • Maintain oversight of outstanding accounts payable balances and perform detailed vendor account reconciliations
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements
  • Provide analytical support for special projects and initiatives as business needs arise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
  • 2-3 years of accounts payable or related financial experience
  • Legal industry experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUP functions
  • Complex data analysis and manipulation
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to identify discrepancies in financial data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for direct interaction with firm partners
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently without structured daily task lists
  • Professional demeanor with appropriate balance of confidence and approachability
  • Proven ability to thrive in unstructured, fast-paced environments with changing priorities

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This is not your typical accounts payable position. We need someone who can look at complex financial data, quickly identify problem areas, and develop solutions independently. The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with firm partners and possess the analytical skills to excel in an environment where every day presents unique challenges. Strong attention to detail and error-free work product are essential, as is the ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with senior leadership.
