About the Opportunity
This position is responsible for the full-cycle accounting function, including accounts payable, tax filings, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a multi-location business.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting
-
Prepare month-end journal entries and inter-branch allocations

Perform daily bank reconciliations

Close and balance books for multiple locations
-
File GST and PST returns
-
Compile month-end reports and account analyses
-
Assist with year-end audit preparation and support
-
Liaise with operations leaders on accounting-related matters
-
Support implementation of a new cloud-based ERP system
Invoice Processing
-
Process and verify vendor invoices from both Canadian and US suppliers
-
Match invoices to purchase orders and received goods/services
-
Reconcile vendor accounts and credit card statements
-
Enter invoice data accurately into accounting software
Payment Processing
-
Process vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner
-
Complete tax payments and adhere to deadlines
-
Monitor payment terms, early payment discounts, and resolve discrepancies

Process credit card transactions
Record Keeping and Reconciliation

Maintain accurate and organized financial records

Reconcile accounts payable and vendor statements

Prepare supporting documentation for financial reports

Ensure consistency and accuracy in all reconciliations
Other Duties

Support month-end and year-end close procedures

Address and resolve vendor inquiries

Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
-
3 years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience
-
7–8 years of progressive experience in the accounting field
-
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business is preferred
Salary Range
$65,000 – $85,000 per year
