About the Company?
Our client is a health care organization. They are looking for a Director of Finance who will be responsible for Managing, Reporting, and Controlling the Accounts Receivable and Collections operations ensuring delivery of best practices, meeting performance objectives, and achieving excellence in customer service.?This role is both operational and strategic: ensuring transactional excellence while leading a multi-year transformation project focused on automation, system integration, and process redesign. The Director will play a key role in aligning financial operations with business growth, supporting working capital strategy, and building future-ready billing and AR teams. This role is envisioned as part of the Finance leadership pipeline and will partner closely with senior executives across Finance, IT, Commercial, and Operations.?

About the Opportunity
?
Strategic Leadership – AR, Billing & Cash Management
-
Lead national AR and billing operations, including accuracy in billing, collections, and cash application.

Manage the full order-to-cash cycle with a focus on performance metrics, credit controls, and customer service.

Ensure operational integrity across multiple billing and operational systems.

Monitor and report on cash flow forecasts, credit risk, and KPIs.
-
Act as the senior escalation point for complex billing and collection issues, contract-related inquiries, and client escalations.
Finance Transformation & Process Optimization

Develop and execute a modernization strategy using automation, AI tools, and technology upgrades.

Standardize and streamline manual billing processes; identify cost reduction opportunities.

Lead implementation of consolidated billing systems to replace legacy platforms.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support system and process changes aligned with business needs.

Contribute to strategy for supporting growth across both private and public sectors.
Leadership & Team Development

Lead and mentor a national team of 30 professionals, including Managers, Analysts, and Specialists.

Build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Support leadership development and succession planning within the team.
Governance, Controls & Reporting

Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including regulatory standards.

Oversee integrity of billing and collections data across platforms.

Manage reporting for key financial metrics (DSO, DPO, bad debt, automation impact).

Partner with business stakeholders to build billing models that support evolving client and program needs.
About You?
-
10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in AR/AP, billing, or finance operations.

Strong track record in finance transformation, especially around automation, ERP, or system consolidation.

Experience in complex, multi-entity or shared services environments.

Expertise in working capital management, credit controls, and finance operations KPIs.

Knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks (e.g., SOx) preferred

Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and build future-ready finance functions.
Salary Range?
$160,000 - $185,000/year?
