

Product Specialist POST NUMBER: 452937
Location: Oakland Park, FL
Compensation: $65-$77/annually
Responsibilities:
The Product Specialist supports the development and success of products by bridging technical feasibility with business strategy. This role involves gathering and analyzing customer and market insights, collaborating with R&D to shape product solutions, and contributing to go-to-market planning and performance evaluation to ensure products meet both user needs and organizational goals.
- Market and Discovery
- Develop a deep understanding of wheelchair securement systems, customer use cases, and industry regulations.
- Participate in and document Voice of Customer (VoC) insights through interviews, ride-alongs, focus groups, and user observations.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Help organize and document outputs from innovation and ideation workshops to capture and prioritize new product ideas.
- Product Planning & Definition
b. Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to translate business needs into feasible technical solutions.
c. Support the maintenance of product backlogs, user requirements, and roadmap artifacts.
- Development & Cross-Functional Enablement
- Coordinate with R&D, Engineering and Operations during product development to ensure alignment with specifications and timelines.
- Provide technical product knowledge and assist in the creation of sales tools, training materials, and FAQs for internal teams.
- Partner with Marketing to support the creation of product messaging, visuals, and go-to-market content.
- Product Launch & Commercialization
- Help coordinate launch readiness activities across departments, including Marketing Sales, and Customer Support.
- Support the creation of launch presentations, sales enablement content, and product demos.
- Gather and report customer feedback and product performance metrics post-launch to identify areas for improvement.
Skills & Capabilities:
- 1–2 years of experience in a product or technical support role (transportation, medical instrument, mobility, or safety systems preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Comfortable navigating both technical discussions and business strategy conversations.
