About the Opportunity 

Month-end Closing:
    • Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Prepare and ensure accurate and timely journal entries for month-end closing.
    • Lead the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, including but not limited to reconciliations for banks, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, inventory, capital assets, and accrued liabilities.
    • Create, maintain, and track Right-of-Use assets and lease schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations between billing and recognized revenue, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • Directly support the execution of development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

Financial and Managerial Reporting:
    • Compile and prepare financial statements in compliance with US GAAP for year-end reporting and audit.
    • Draft and maintain accounting memos in accordance with US GAAP.
    • Compile and prepare monthly internal financial reports for stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of the monthly financial reporting.
    • Analyze and present financial and operational data to business leaders, identifying areas of business improvements, and highlighting key trends and variances.

Internal Controls:
    • Support the Controller in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
    • Implement effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure regulation compliance and achieve efficiencies.
    • Design and implement internal controls over revenue recognition for high-volume, subscription-based revenue streams
    • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.

Audit and Tax
    • Serve as point of contact for external auditors during annual financial audits.
    • Coordinate audit preparations and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
    • Responsible for filing tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.

Manage Ad Hoc Requests:
    • Respond to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed based on business requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights that support strategic initiatives.
About You 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation.
  • 4 years of accounting experience, focusing on month-end closing, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, with focus on IFRS and/or US GAAP.



Salary Range 
$90,000 - $95,000/year
