Job Description:
The Software Quality team is seeking a Test Lead, you will own end-to-end quality for IT projects and programs by ensuring all test deliverables meet defined standards, quality practices, and end-user requirements. You’ll act as the central point of coordination among developers, analysts, product teams, and process experts to design, plan, and execute robust test strategies that align with program goals and timelines.
-Key Responsibilities
- The QA lead role will partner to coordinate automation with the project team, stakeholders and automation developers. You will not develop automated scripts.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans, incorporating input from developers, business analysts, enabling teams, and process experts.
- Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data sets to cover functional requirements and edge cases for product teams.
- Align with program-level test deliverables, take ownership of assigned team’s testing activities, and ensure on-time completion to meet program milestones.
- Coordinate day-to-day test execution across multiple project teams, proactively tracking progress and removing blockers in the bug life cycle.
- Manage the defect lifecycle by logging issues, assigning ownership for fixes, facilitating retests, and verifying that resolved defects meet acceptance criteria.
- Prepare and distribute clear test reports and dashboards to surface quality metrics, highlight risks, and inform stakeholders of testing status.
- Partner with Automation Specialists by providing manual test scripts, data sets, and contextual information to drive the adoption of automated testing solutions.
- Collaborate continuously with cross-functional teams to refine testing standards and practices, championing a culture of continuous improvement.
Years of Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in leading software projects in Testing areas at an enterprise level company
Top Skills:
· Tools and technologies: MS Azure DevOps, MS Visual Studio, Service Now, SAP, Web Technologies, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
-Expertise in leading testing projects and experience in Testing methodology, practices, processes and tools
· Expertise in coordinating testing for global programs/projects
· Strong leadership/interpersonal skills and project management skillset
· Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment with strong knowledge of SCRUM practices
·Understanding of programming and development languages such as Java, C, .NET
Secondary Skills:
-ADO experience
·ERP: Experience in testing web, SAP application
-Bachelor’s degree in technology related field
